One tons are the same truck as any other 67-72. It will have the raised pod cab lights if it's original cab.

Quote:
As with any '67-'72 truck, check the cab supports, kick panels, around the heater box on the firewall side, above the windshield on the inside, and the drip rail on the outside. Any bubbles in the paint and you can bet there will be a rust hole underneath it.... The easiest way to tell if it still has the 292 I6 is that the metal lifter covers on the passengers side of the block are approx. 6" tall on the 292 I6 and approx. 4" tall on the 250 I6. Brake parts can be hard to find for them so keep that in mind. LockDoc

Re: 1970 c30 what to look for
Also keep in mind that the same ideas work on the C30 as do the C10's. For instance disc brake change overs from the newer square bodys are a great way to put disc brakes on and they would have the one piece wheel to get you away from the "widow maker" split rim. Also some of those one tons are geared real LOW and you can find newer rears[out of the squares] as high as 3:42. Those would help really make a much more enjoyable truck. Mine is a 71 so it has disc already. It has No power steering so thing like that change over are just like the lighter type trucks.

Pretty much the same things you would look for in a C10 or C20. 1 ton should have a HO72 rear end.

Re: 1970 c30 what to look for
They are worth the same as a C/10 in that condition. Just a matter of what configuration is desired. Use your own judgement. If you want a C/30 it's worth it (if you think a C/10 in same condition is)
