If you've never done it, this might be close up enough to give you the idea. Cheap and easy to make with zip ties and keeps the wires nicely spaced and organized. And of course when it branches down to 3 or 2 wires, you can just make smaller ones.

that's exactly what I did! $6,000 motor and I cheapo'd out on the wire looms. haha

I did the same thing.

I bought the wire guides that go along the valve covers and I bought some wire separators from Taylor. They both were junk and I ended up doing this with black zip ties. Works great, looks great. Oh yeah, and basically free.

For this set up to look good, I think you would have to have custom-length wires or trim them for length and re-crimp the ends. Most wire sets you buy today are all way too long.

I know mine are too long. Makes it look like chit. Any insight on what crimping tool is needed to shorten the plug wires or where to get new terminals to crimp on?

Yep, this is just for the dyno, but cut-to-length are the way to go. I've got 3 too short and 2 too long!

What I have used before is a pair of wire cutter/stripper/crimpers. I used a small screwdriver to pry the factory crimp loose, then cut the wire to length with the cutters, and used a razor blade to cut the outer jacket off. Then used the crimpers to re-crimp it.
My Craftsman crimpers have a spot that is the right size for the plug wire terminal.

Yeah mine are too long but I was able to manage them with these the way I wanted. Cutting your own seems like the way to go, maybe next time when I know exactly how I want them.
