What was standard gearing for a half-ton 307 in '68?
Subject line is the question... does anyone know?
I'm wondering what the gear ratio would have been by default for a 1968 GMC w/307 & TH400. I don't know the axle, unfortunately, but I presume it was the default one.

Ratio was 3.73 with most 307 V8s. There isn't a surefire answer 48 years later as to what is under any given truck.
