Desert sand metallic trucks
I'm just curious how common this color is, it is often confused with wheatland yellow. So Im starting a pic thread. To see how many other people have this color. Here is my original '85 Silverado.

I might be wrong about this, but I belive if it's an Oldsmobile diesel, it can be converted to gas.

My 84' was that color. Took some time, but it grew on me.
Sold it a few months back. |

Re: Desert sand metallic trucks
Is there no love for this color. I like it because in my opinion it screams '80s. Like the right shade of green would scream '70s. Yellow is also one of my favorite colors. Though most yellow trucks I see either look to banana like or mustard like. This color seems like the happy medium.

I picked up an 88' squarebody crewcab to make room for the kiddos when we go camping. The 84' worked great when we only had 1 kid, but with 2, we were having to drive a truck and a car to wherever we were going camping. I wanted to keep it, but the wife didn't think we needed two trucks. It's in good hands at least, and I still get to see it pretty frequently, as a co-worker bought it. |

Nothing wrong with selling, as long as you replace it with another square. You sound like you have a nice wife. Most women I know force their husbands to buy a "modern" truck.
