65 C-10 electrical problem
my gas gauge pins itself to the full as soon as you turn on the key, i have replace the gauge, still does it, i have disconnected tank wire, still does it, i have removed the instrument cluster, and just hooked up the pink wire and as soon as i ground the gauge it does it. are both gauges bad or am i missing something DON

Sounds like the sender provides a varying resistance to ground and its always grounded. Time to figure out what's doing that.
A voltmeter is your friend here... |

Note of interest: The simple test for this problem is to remove the sender wire from the gauge. This will send the needle full or empty, depending on what car you are dealing with. Then take a piece of wire and ground the sender wire. This will send the needle to the other peg.
