My new work truck and daily driver: '69 C20 Longhorn

It was a work truck on our farm up until 1996. It was ridden hard and put up wet. I pulled it out of the weeds last spring and started working on it. Needless to say it needed everything. I replaced or rebuild everything mechanical: Wheel bearings, tie rods and ball joints, brakes, fuel and brake lines, tires, resealed trans, rebuild engine, new wiring harness (AAW), welded rockers and cab floor, cleaned up interior with new carpet and seat cover. I still have to put in new wood in the bed and find a tailgate. Broke in the engine last Friday and started driving it on Monday. Since it's my work truck, I won't do any body work or painting, plus, I like the way she looks, every scratch and dent has a story. She has a four bolt 350 and a sm 465 4-speed. Right now I am just enjoying the drives to and from work. She is a blast to drive !! And the extra long bed comes in handy around the farm, won't haul anything until the first oil change, but then I will put her to work, just like she was intended to do when she was build ! Gotta love an old truck !

Good ol' work truck you got there! I'd run her just the way it is.

Your truck looks great , Nothing beats these trucks as Daily Drivers , you will find it a pleasure to drive daily to and from where ever you go...........

I have just clocked 22,000 miles on my 68 daily driver since putting her on the road about 5 months ago..... Best move I ever made as far as transportation and light truck work..
