Hello from Guthrie, OK

Just joined. Have been working on cars since 1968. Didn't get my license until 1969, but had already purchased my first car.

Technically, I don't own a 47 - 72 Chevy truck. However, I am transplanting the 350 engine and NP 542L five speed from a 1972 C60 into my 49 Studebaker farm truck. The original flat head six bit the dust a few weeks ago, and I couldn't resist upgrading to a real power plant and trans. Original trans was four speed with NO synchros.

I am married to an angel who strongly supports my car/truck habit. We have 10 cars at the moment, not counting the non running parts car. We live in downtown Guthrie in a building that used to be a Livery. Built in 1902.

Anyway, will be looking for parts sources for the "truck only" parts, like the motor mounts. I am using the rear cross member out of the C50, and may go back and get the front one.
