WTB: Super Solid Truck
Wasnt sure where else to put this but if this isnt ok please let me know and Ill move it instead of it getting locked please. Im currently looking for a super super solid as rust free as possible 69-72 1/2 ton Truck. Longbeds are fine and automatic preferred. Id really like an original paint truck as well. Running and driving is a plus! Trucks out west are fine as well as long as I can set up shipping. Please post pics and prices of what you have. no junk, prefer all original body panels as well. Thanks guys!

Re: WTB: Super Solid Truck
I'd look at this one. It looks great and is in Tennesse which is a reasonable distance from you.

Re: WTB: Super Solid Truck
that's a tall order to find at a reasonable price. this one matches your criteria very well. i have a few local offers for 4500 but trying to get closer to 5. a buyer from NY was quoted $1400 to ship it there. i can email more details and photos if interested.

Re: WTB: Super Solid Truck
I'd really like to chat with 68Bowtie about the orange truck. Just what I'm looking for.

Re: WTB: Super Solid Truck
A little more than what you are asking but I am in driving distance. I will be selling this one in about a month or so. Since a few of these pictures have been taken I have installed stainless DF2 mirrors to replace the painted ones and the very few rust areas have been repaired and treated with the exception of a small place on the underside of the driver door not visible unless under the truck.
These are just a few pictures I had handy right now. I could get more if you want them. PM me if you are interested. If not, good luck with your search!

Re: WTB: Super Solid Truck
i created an album with some more detailed photos including the few rust areas:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...p?albumid=2318 here is the CL ad: https://modesto.craigslist.org/cto/5710584575.html basically there is a small amount of rust in the topside of the driver rocker, rust through in the passenger fender cup and inner fender (below the battery), and some surface rust in the bed floor. mechanically it runs/drives/stops well, but has a serious stumble i haven't been able to troubleshoot (lack of skill mainly), which i believe is the carb.

Re: WTB: Super Solid Truck
OK fellas, Ive spoken to 68bowtie and Im going to hold off on the orange truck, for now at least. Its definitely worth every penny he is asking but I Would like to find something with a little less rust. I know its a tall task but hopefully holding out will net me the truck Ive been looking for. TTT!

Re: WTB: Super Solid Truck
Nice truck as well, but needs cab supports, inner rocker repairs, etc. Thanks for the quick reminder though. I really appreciate that.
