The other item 2. shouldnt there be a seal there in a V8 upper radiator? Who sells the best one?

Re: Questions

Here's what I think...
The hole is for the overflow hose and if you look at my pics, you can see in the first one that I have a stock metal flange across the top of the opening. Its held on from the underside with hex head screws. The second pic shows that there are staples thru the metal which likely used to secure a rubber seal. (Long gone in my case). The last pic shows the same flange on a different truck where a piece of rubber line has been split open lengthwise and fitted over the stock flange to recreate the original seal.

Re: Questions

Thanks. I thought there might be a metal piece I was missing.
Yep that's what I thought about the hole as well.
Thanks again.

Re: Questions

Looks like the pic isn't showing up.
It was a pic of a factory restoration truck engine bay - the radiator overflow hose going down that hole in question.

LOL - that's a picture of my truck from many years ago. Where in the world did you find that? Funny stuff...

My truck wasn't originally a V8 (I swapped out the I-6 for a 350) so I don't have the original baffles for the radiator and shroud. Since that photo was taken, I've swapped the Holley carb for a Q-Jet, and I'm using a dual snorkel air cleaner from an 82-83 Z28.

Re: Questions

That has to be the least descriptive thread title on the forum. Well I guess it could have been just "?"

Hard to tell in your pic but there are also some "curtains" that close the gap on each side of the radiator. Supposed to direct the air right at the radiator through the grille instead of around it.
