Door Rubber
I'm about to throw some serious money at the truck. And was wondering what the best replacement seal for the doors would be. Some of the aftermarket stuff used in the past is less than Satisfactory, curling away from cab with age. And any information on a kill type switch and good alarm to help keep the truck in my possession once the work is complete? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Softseal. Don't slam that door.

Re: Door Rubber
Does nobody like the dodge dakota door seals anymore? I put those on my 71 and it felt like they actually sealed. The factory ones look like all they do is cover up the pinchweld.

Re: Door Rubber
I had done some research on this, I had considered using steel rubber. Has anyone used them?

Re: Door Rubber
I just put the NEWEST precision push on seals on my truck as well. I agree, they are super easy to install, seem to seal well, I don't have to slam my doors and they look good. They newest version has the mitered corners also so you don't have to deal with that like their first push on seals had.

Re: Door Rubber
I used some seals from an early 90's junkyard chevy pickup. Cleaned up nice and seal very well. I do have to slam the doors though.

Re: Door Rubber
X2. Got mine from Wes at Classic Heartbeat. The reason the door has to be slammed when windows are up is because they actually SEAL!
