New door seals work great!
These seals are press on and made for the trucks, but work great on my Blazer. Sold by site vendor Classic Heartbeat (Wes)
Thanks Wes! Got my seals in today and 15 minutes later they were trimmed and on nicely. Note this is on a Blazer and they worked great. Super easy to use on the Blazer. Started in the corner and applied in both directions, trimmed the ends and it's nice. Of course, Blazer owners will need the rubber set for the top to finish off the top window seal, but that's the way the factory did it... This is a very well made set if you're not convinced yet. Here's the post for the seals http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=694087

Re: New door seals work great!
How do your doors close? I bought a set of push on seals for my c10 and they were extremely hard to close. Had to really slam them compared to the original.

They work fine. Check your latch mech. Sometimes they get worn and make it harder to close as well.

Re: New door seals work great!
How did you attach it to the big rubber seal at the top of the windshield frame..?

Re: New door seals work great!
I just installed my set of new push on door seals from Classic Heartbeat in my Blazer. Of course had to trim off the upper truck door portion, but they went on super easy, stay firmly in place, look great, and seal great. Absolutely no problems with doors closing. I am 110% pleased with this aftermarket product, which is seldom the case with a lot of the crap that gets made. Hats off to Wes at Classic Heartbeat!
I ended up just butting the ends of the new seals up to the upper windshield frame seal. I might add some black RTV, or 3M black weather strip adhesive to seal the pieces together. |
