Factory 60's steering wheel on 67-72 CPP tilt column

Has anybody put a factory 60's steering wheel on a 67-72 CPP tilt column (#CSC6772)? Looks like the internal threaded portion of the column behind the mounting splines is larger than the factory 60's steering shaft and subsequently larger than the opening in the factory 60's steering wheel. Does the factory 67-72 steering wheel have a larger opening in the back of the wheel or is the CPP column just made to not accept the factory 60's wheel? I wanted to run my factory wheel on that column.

Just to follow up for those that are following, I returned the CPP column because once I put a 69-72 steering wheel on the column to test for it versus the early 60's factory steering wheel, the column had slip in the tilt without even titling the column. Not to mention I found the article comparing all the aftermarket steering columns and guess which was the worst..CPP. I found a local that rebuilds factory columns and went with him and it was cheaper than the CPP.

Once I tried the early 60's steering wheel on the rebuild 67-72 steering column, I may have to do a little clearancing on the hub of the early 60's steering wheel to get it to fully seat on the steering shaft.
