Starting on the inside of my H/70
ok I got tired of the Big heavy greasy pieces and decided to spend some time on the inside of the truck, thought I might be happier if it looked a little nicer inside. The first thing I notice is how much of it is trash and I cant help but wonder how the nice show quality rigs GET that way. I mean I don't think you can buy flat floor mats and Sill trim plates anywhere ? Do guys actually have custom runs made ? or is there some place in the world where sill plates don't end up looking like hammered sin after a month of use ? I am going to have some minor rust patching to do in the floor, and my cab corners but I would like to get a clean new floor mat down and it would be nice to put in a real door sill trim.... mine are both rotted away on the ends and basically unsaveable... they are not a match for anything I have around and that is available readily from aftermarket. Anyone have any idea's ?

It's always worth a phone call to your local dealer, although you would need to call Volvo.
Another alternative would be NOS (New Old Stock). If you can get the original Part Numbers, punch them into Google. You would be surprised on what is out there. I've actually got some NOS stuff myself, but nothing that would fit your truck or that I would want to part with, lol.

Old Chevrolet and GMC Parts Manuals with Print Dates not too much newer than the truck you are working on would be your best bet.
Literature Vendors and Ebay would be two good places to try to find one. Bill
