1953 GMC 100 (228 ci) carburetor replacement

Hello. Any idea where to find a replacement carb for this truck? Old carb is lost so I am starting from scratch. Can I use a Chevy 216 or 235? Mounting and linkage the same? Thank you for your help.

With a adapter kit you could use a 70's Rodchester 2G carb should be lots of them around

Oh, and Welcome to the board from So Arizona!

As a follow up Zenith was the OEM carburetor manufacturer and provided a model 28 for the GMC. Zenith is still around and actually continues makes one barrel carbs. They are very pricey at $600 +. I talked to the folk at the Carburetor Exchange and they confirmed that a Carter YF model will work.
