Not sure of the Year
This one belongs to one of my Crappie Fishing Club members. He told me that he would take best offer for it. You wont find it For Sale anywhere. If someone was serious about it I would put you in touch with him.
He has already restored one older car and one truck. Told me he had already made his mind up. And wasn't going to do another and would take best offer for this one. |

Looks like a 63 from the side emblem.

Re: Not sure of the Year
I don't believe it's a '63 - those had dog-leg doors still I believe. Must be 64-66

Re: Not sure of the Year
Backup lights came installed on all 66's but were a dealer add on in earlier years, I've even seen a 60 with backup lights

Re: Not sure of the Year
The only way to know for sure would be to post the vin# if it is original to the truck and the cab or vin tag have not been changed.

Re: Not sure of the Year
Rearend is not 64. One way to tell if the cab is a 64 is by the lower inner fender mounts on the cab.

Re: Not sure of the Year
I'm just about positive it's a 64, get a picture of the vin plate and we can tell you, it will be in the door jam

Re: Not sure of the Year
NevEno is right about the rear end.
Should be a 66 being it a has a silver gauge cluster bezel.

Re: Not sure of the Year
Even easier way to tell if it's a 66 is the tag on the driver's side kick panel that displays the engine options.
64-65 had the 153 4 cylinder, two 230 6 cylinders, 292 6 cylinder, and and 283 V8. 66 had the 194, 250, 292, 283, 327 on the tag.

Re: Not sure of the Year
Me too. Thought this thread was gonna take a bit of a weird turn. Sorry I can't help. Its not a knee knocker cab so '64 + is my vote.
I do have a couple of crappy friends but none of them fish... probably what makes 'em crappy!

Re: Not sure of the Year
The frame is 65 or66.
The cab is 64, 65 or 66. The side emblems are 63. You might want to check the VIN on both the frame and the cab to see if they match.

Re: Not sure of the Year
Windshield washer were standard on 66 as were back up lights both were option in all the earlier year.
A lot has been changed on this truck, engine, trans, radiator, steering wheel, outside mirrors just to name the most obvious.
