1986 swb stolen in Richmond Kentucky
I need all of your help!
My truck was stolen in Richmond Kentucky from the Holiday Inn Express on Monday Sept. 5 Between midnight and 7 am. This truck has been in my family since 1990 and I had just picked it up from my Dad 2 days before in cape coral FL. I drove this truck all through highschool and then gave it back to my dad 15 years ago and just got it back and was headed towards Ohio. My phone was last tracked an hour south in Barbourville, Kentucky. The pics are from the day before it was stolen If you see it or anyone trying to sell it or parts please let me know. Thanks in advance Mike |

I shared this on the C10 Club Tennessee page and copied/pasted your pictures as well to share. Very active page with several people in the Knoxville area. Hope you find it...

Re: 1986 swb stolen in Richmond Kentucky
Thanks for your help!
It is a 350/700r4. Power windows and locks Chevy Astro buckets and k5 center console. There were a set on old convo pro center lines in the bed. A few unique things about it are. Gas filler door shaved, custom aluminum bed cover wrapped in vinyl with hydraulic lift, custom tailgate filler, resessed rear bumper, and fiberglass front lower spoiler. |

Re: 1986 swb stolen in Richmond Kentucky
I guess people with nice trucks will have to make them more theft proof. They are just too desirable and easy to steal. I hope you get some good news on this. scumbags

Re: 1986 swb stolen in Richmond Kentucky
It pinged on Tuesday afternoon and then it was shut off again. It was located on 25E And noeville road in Barbourville, KY. It is a family health clinic. I called there and no one has turned in a phone. My guess is it is dumped in the trash can out front. It has not been turned on since then so I have no further location.

Re: 1986 swb stolen in Richmond Kentucky
The two sided coin: These trucks are getting popular and people are wanting them $$$$ Then, there are people how are wanting them, that do not want to pay for them..... Sorry to hear about your nice looking truck. Having a history with it, really sucks! I hope everyone will put "SOME KIND OF THEFT DETERENT" on their trucks! I know I will!!

Man that sucks! Glad you got it back. If I have any extras that you could use I'd be happy to send them your way for the rebuild.

Glad you got it back, but dang, those dudes that stripped it are some huge wankers. I hope Karma takes a tree trunk and shoves it ...

Re: 1986 swb stolen in Richmond Kentucky
Dang it boy...they didn't leave you much to work with...dang that sucks..sad part is a simple ignition disabling switch might have avoided all that..unless they towed it off..if I read right your phone was in the truck..how did they get it..was the key in it as well? Or hotwired..

Re: 1986 swb stolen in Richmond Kentucky
You can say that again. I'd be tempted to put a tracker in my '85 DD for just such an occasion... I live 80 miles SW of Richmond.

Re: 1986 swb stolen in Richmond Kentucky
Man, I'm sorry to see that. I was hoping they'd just find it dumped after a joyride or something. People really suck sometimes.

Man, I feel so bad for ya, then anger sets in.
If I came up on the cockroaches stripping my truck like that, I'd be inclined to drop em like a 6 point buck. |
