Are there only two cab mounts? (One on each side; outside the framerail, just under the doors.) My gf's dad said it's EASY to replace cab mounts, and from the looks of it, there's only two!
But I think I remember someone saying, each side has two bushings...an upper and a lower. Is this correct?

There are four, two in front and two in the rear...I believe there are a total of eight bushings (2 for each mount) though.

Where are the other two? Under the radiator??

the two in front are right about where your feet rest (one on the left, the other on the right), and the two in the rear are at the very back of the cab (in the same location as the front).

Crawl under and have a peek...the bolts bolt from under the cab and thread into the cab thru the bushings.

Hmm ok..hopefully this fix my CRAPPY ride, as well as my leaning problem.
But then I'll have a new problem..I'll have to drop the front another inch or so

Actually, the 2 rear ones are on the inside of the framerail whereas the front is on the outside of the framerail.
here is a pic from the front. The first set outiside the framerail and in front of the crossmemeber is the core support, the second set outside framerail and behind the crossmember is the front cab mount, and the one in front of the rear crossmember and inside the framerail is the rear cab mount.

If you are replacing the cab bushings, you need to replace the core support bushings. Unless you replace them with rubber, you ride quality will be STIFFER.

not to hi-jack a thread, but how much (in inches) would bad/failing cab mounts cause a truck to lean?

No more than about 1/2" I would say (PICKUPs). Typically the top bushing is about 3/4" tall, and it has a 1/4" Washer/support cup holding it on the later models.

Ehh..I think mine's actually leaning about 3/4"...I'll let yall know after I replace my bushings...

Hey TIMSPEED, is your truck leaning on the passenger side or the driver side? I guess if it was both, you either couldn't tell or wouldn't care unless the ride was just that bad?

No, the very front ones are the core support mounts. Look at mine, you can see the front ones right behind the engine (outside of frame), and the rear ones are further back inside the frame.

BTW - Chris, your rear mounts look waaaaay too far back in the pic...do you have a limo or something?? Just kiddin, probabally just the way the photo turned out.

I was thinking it was a frame for a crew-cab short bed.

Well, I went out and snapped a picture of my cab mounts (directly under the sides of the cab) Here's what they look like...
Is there any EASY way to get to the rear cab mounts, without taking the bed off??
Also, (last question, I promise) I just take out this big bolt going through the bushing, then jack up the cab, and slide out the old bushings and in the new, right?

You shouldn't need to touch the bed, the mounts are directly below the rear of the cab.

Yes, remove the bolt, jack up the cab a little, remove the old mounts. The bolts might be stubborn, lots of weight, stress, and years on them.

BTW - your bushings don't look too bad.

Jeff, you have to consider that those are the lower bushings he's showing, so they're not bearing any weight. i bet the top ones are smooshed to hell.

TIMSPEED, bring your truck up to my place and I'll replace them. I'm installing PST ones on my truck because otherwise, they'll just sit in the box. You can also get your leaf springs.....for free.
