Where can I find T Bolts to mount west coast mirrors?

I bought some delbar swing lock mirrors but they didn't come with the mounting bolt and acorn nut. Where can I buy these, or what did you do as an alternative? Do they have a name other than t bolt?

Looks something like this. It is used in the door above the window from inside. It spreads out the clamping force. On the outside the mirror is held on by an acorn nut.

Unless you can find some used, I believe you will need to modifing an existing fastener. Maybe grinding flat one side of a button socket cap screw?

Re: Where can I find T Bolts to mount west coast mirrors?

I've found reference to two OEM part numbers, one for Ford (383100-S40) and one for GM (D0HZ-17386-A). Unfortunately I can't find them anywhere.

I don't have a grinding wheel otherwise I might just buy a carriage bolt or something and grind it down.

I think they need to be 1/4"-20 otherwise I'd have to bore out the mirror bracket, which I don't want to do. The local NAPA was useless, as they always are for fasteners. No luck at the Ace Hardware either. Heading down to Home Depot in a bit to check.

At home depot go to toilet repair parts .....you are looking for the bolts that mount a toilet to the floor flange watch as they do have both 1/4 and 5/16

Re: Where can I find T Bolts to mount west coast mirrors?

Local home depot and Ace both did not carry stainless toilet bolts. Gonna order some t-bolts I found online from a mfg named Rockler.

Here's what I ordered on amazon. http://amzn.to/2cPcEhc I'm not sure if I'll have access to the back side of the bottom mounting location, but just in case, I got extra because I'd rather use these with acorn caps than sheet metal screws.
