Well I bought this awesome looking steering wheel, but it doesn't cover the area on the column that hides the guts. I'll take a pic to show you what I mean. I'm really bummed, this steering wheel is really cool, looks like old wood and brushed aluminum.

You just need a adapter kit, you can get them at many local parts stores. Grant is a popular brand you might look for.

Yeah, you're only part way there. Need the install kit.

If it's an OEM Comfort Grip and you want the correct mounting kit, you can get them from classic GM dealers

As stated you need the proper adapter kit. Here's a couple tips when you get said kit.

The aluminum adapter: Don't over tighten the aluminum bolts that attach the wheel to the adapter. Easy... easy boy... ohhh... you stripped it.

The horn attachment to the fiber horn disc: Inside the horn cap you will see some round dimples and some oval nudges. The dimples hold the cap onto the disc. The oval nudges keep the horn cup from pushing too far onto the disc. So here's the tip. Take a punch and smack all the dimples so they stick out a bit more proud(keeps the cup on the fiber board tight). Why, if the horn cup pops off.... Whaaaaaaaaa... the horn will start blowing. And that blows!

You will see, just study the inside of the horn cup and the fiber disc and you will see what I'm saying. It's a cheesy setup but once you get the horn cup on good it will stay. Ease the cup onto the disc and twist the dimples under the disc.
