Fuel delivery problem?

Hey guys, i have been having problems with my fuel delivery in my 1971 c20 350sbc with a holley four barrel double pumper. at first i thought it was vapor lock because it died on me a couple times in stop and go traffic but then i looked into it further and found the gas is just dribbling into the fuel filter before the carb. when before the fuel filter was full of fuel and now its not even a quarter full. i replaced the fuel pump with a holley 80gph pump thinking the fuel pump went and also replaced all the fuel line from the tank to the carb. Also i looked at the sending unit sock and found no restrictions in that. The only thing i can think of now is something on the carb could be out of adjustment although this only started 4 days ago and before that it worked perfect. Does anyone have any ideas? Much appreciated.
Zach

Re: Fuel delivery problem?

I reread your post check fuel filter. Most of the time the clog is at the tank but when you removed fuel line gas flowed out of tank right?

Re: Fuel delivery problem?

Have you checked your gas cap lately?
It has to vent air one way or another.

Be sure the rubber in the lines isnt collapseing anywhere also.
Small tip here, be positive all the lines are clear and blow some compressed air through them.

You can prime the line and get rid of a air pocket is too disconect the in line at the pump with a bucket/pan under it and blow some low pressure into the tank. Seal the filler neck with your hand and blow inbetween your fingers.

Check that filter inlet real good for small chunk of rubber/crud reducing the flow.

Oh and the pump rod retaining bolt.
Make sure its correct i wander how many times its been used to hold the rod up to install a pump and forgotten too loosen it up or reinstall the correct bolt.
Not saying you did this or its your particular problem but im sure "its been done" by somebody out there. Sometime or another.
Sure way too damage a lobe or rod.
