Fixing bad paint buff job...?

I need advice from paint gurus. I just got back my 81 stepside from a painting job. It looks overall great EXCEPT for the fact that the painter buffed the clear coat, but it does not look right. It looks streaky. Can this be rebuffed by someone who knows how to do it? Or should it be re-clearcoated?

Honestly if it is simple swirls or streaks from the final polish, they will go away after you give the truck a few good baths by hand and dry it off. If you feel it is not going away, get some 3M 5991 (machine glaze) and go to town with it by hand and new white tshirt rags, wax on/wax off. Do this in the shade.

If the paint is at least 60 days old, finish up with a good hand waxing. Use a liquid wax that you can really work into the paint. Do not seal off the paint though if it is not at least 60 days old, it might still be curing.

Every once in a while we have a customer complain of the streaking/swirling in a dark color. I always tell them to give it 2 months and come back if the markings are not gone by then after a few proper wash jobs. Have yet to have a customer come back except to do more repairs for them.

I wish these were only swirls. It looks streaky and mismatched. This is a hand buffing job of the clear coat to clear out the imperfections that were created by an insect or two that landed in it when it was drying. Personally I wish he had left it alone because the insects would have looked far less sorry. I may have to have it re-clear-coated or something.

You literally can not cut and buff by hand, seriously. Find someone that can hit it with some 2000 grit and buff and polish it. As long as there is enough clear it'd be easy and no real harm would be done.
