latch problem w/ Billet grille
When I installed a billet grille, I found out that getting to the hood latch is nearly impossible. I have seen trucks with a cable pull style hood latch that pops open from in the cab. What year of truck could I get one off from that I can adapt to fit the 69-72 style hood? Pictures would be great. Thanks
CB

I have that problem too. Too make matters worse I cut about 2 inches off of the front of the lever. I just keep a wrench in the glove box and use it through the grill opening. It's easy and you know people won't be opening your hood.
If you get a cable latch to work you can also cut off a lot of the lever so no one will be opening your hood.

my friend welded an extension to his handle that hung behind the bumper works great but then you have to lean over and show the world your butt when you pop your hood.
