I don't see a need for them, my 78 handles great as is.

There is a need, at least for me. During my 1000 mile round trip last weekend I encountoured a handful of bumps in the road at highway speeds that caused my shocks to bottom out.

I made some cheap effective relocation brackets from a piece of scrap angle & 1/4" plate. They bolt to the side of the frame, use the stock upper stud set-up (stock spec shocks), & regained the lost travel....
