Newbee Here - 1965 C10 step side long vs short bed question - please help
New to the forum and could you assistance please. My son and I picked up a very nice 1965 C10 fleetside from out West. My son's desire is to convert to a long bed step side. I have been looking for a long bed step side bed for quite some time with no luck.
My question - are the steps on the long and short beds the same size? I see the lmc truck as the steps for the 'short bed' version, but I don't know if they are the same for the long bed version? If the long bed steps are longer (I suspect they may be), is there a source for original or repo? Thanks a lot, Mark |

Re: Newbee Here - 1965 C10 step side long vs short bed question - please help
Steps for the longbed stepside (8ft) are not reproduced, they are listed on lmc for being the same 55-66 but the 55-59 long steps are shorter than the 60-66.

I think he meant the steps themselves are 9" longer, not 9'. The only 9' stepside trucks were the 133" WB 30-series
