GSI DROP FRONT and REAR kit.
Anybody have experience with this kit?
Seems like everything is included. What mods need to be done to your cab to run it? High hump? No notch of the frame for the tie rod on the rack? The $300 appears to be worth it for the tubular A-arms. Looking for opinions? Would like to see more pictures of it installed. Wondering about the steering shaft attachment to the rack. https://www.gsimfab.com/63-72-front-...4249_8686.html Last edited by Vandals909; 09-23-2016 at 03:10 AM. |

I don't like the mounting of the upper control arm. You cant really adjust anything other than camber with the design. The shock mounting also looks like an after thought to me.
I would go with Porterbuilt or No Limit personally. If you have more fab skills you can go with Thorbro's and save a few bucks.

Re: GSI DROP FRONT and REAR kit.
Was looking for info on what needs to be modified on the truck to use the kit? For example high hump trans tunnel for my 4l80e? Hood hinges? Can you run stock inner fender wells, how high does the bed have to be raised? Doesn't look like you have to notch the frame for the rack? One piece driveshaft or is a two piece peace required?
Do you guys recommend a front and rear sway bar? I still want it to handle well Google does not have these answers |

Re: GSI DROP FRONT and REAR kit.
Only hood hinges that work with a bagged truck your age is porterbuilts witch they even used on their builds. They do offer some nice parts like all the billet door handles and the weld in ac control plate. But like shores said talk to them they will know better then any of us.
