Trans Linkage questions

Good morning everybody! I finally after 10 years got a used 350 motor in my grandpa's old farm truck and got it started Wednesday night!! It rumbles like a man's truck should, but, the trans linkage is disconnected and I'm not sure how to reconnect it. I was able to connect the "spring" side as you can see in the photo, but I'm not sure I've got it connected right. Can anyone offer some advice? I'm hoping to throw it in gear Saturday morning and take her down the road. Thanks for all your help!

Yup, the spring is on the wrong side of the bellcrank. Here is a breakdown of the linkage....

Re: Trans Linkage questions

Here's a couple more. I put two springs on mine and it really feels like new.
