Trans removal 69 c 10

I'm helping a friend pull his Trans and transfer case. I'm not familiar with this vehicle but I have pull engines etc. This is a 4 speed manual transmission four wheel drive. I'm afraid I already know the answer but am hoping there is a trick I'm missing. The trans and transfer case are still connected. The Trans and all linkage etc are disconnected. We have the Trans four inches away from the bell housing and the shifter tower is jammed against the hole in the floor. Clutch and pressure plate are still installed.
How do I get the transmission low enough to clear the floor?

I always remove the shifter and crossmember. This will allow you to drop the back of transmission to clear floor. You may also want to separate the transfer case from trans as they are very heavy. Good luck
