1972 GMC 402 swap to 454 clutch arm

Doe someone make a conversion kit to mount the clutch arm to the block? The 402 block was drilled and tapped for the ball bracket and the 454 is not. Is there a kit to bolt on?

Bb's are usually drilled and tapped. But not allways huh.

My 400 sbc wasnt drilled either.
i needed too use a small roloc too flatten out the bolt
bosses since they were rough not flat and as casted.
I used the oe ball bracket for locateing and center punching the holes.
Then a mike too measure the depth of the holes in the other block. set my bit stop collar and slowly oiled and drilled them in 3 steps till i was at the correct depth&dia.

Then Tap it out useing cutting oil.a bottoming tap works best.

Slightly intimadating job but it went very easy.
those bb ball stud brackets are a tough find if you need them.

Yes, Skogin Dickey Parts Center makes a bracket that mounts it to the bellhousing bolts, but it's not perfect in terms of location. Other solutions (brackets) are available too.

If you can drill and tap the block, do that. Hard to do in the car but outside the car it's the way to do it.
