87 spectra gas tank

I've read on here 87 spectra has the baffle for the in tank pump (ls conversion)
I've been through 2 of them, the first I don't know what they ordered but the second they ordered for an 86 for some reason.
I just want to make sure this tank does have the baffle as the new one is supposed to be in this afternoon and I don't want to drive 40 miles for the wrong one so I plan on calling to have them look inside for a baffle
Do they have it?

What part number did you order? I know for a fact the Dorman for a 87 R10 has the baffle. I have had 2 of them and 1 of them is on my truck.

Re: 87 spectra gas tank

I ordered the GM11C from amazon for my truck and it did have the baffles. This was about a year ago though. This item has been on amazon since 2012, so I think it is the same one. 80 bucks shipped to your door is pretty good.

I bought a spectra from O'Reillys for my '87 R10. Yes it had the baffled off spot inside where the fuel pump area was.

As long as you're after the same thing that's in your truck, the GM1B or GM11B is correct. Now if you're after what goes in an '87 R10, you'll want to look at the GM1C or GM11C tanks.

Those tanks have 2 different dimensions, which will fit an 84?

One is a 16 gallon and one is a 20 gallon, so it depends on what you're wanting. The 16 gallon will go under a SWB or a LWB, the 20 gallon will go under a LWB. My '87 LWB has twin 16's under it.
