where to run a manual choke cabel?

I have removed the quadrejet carb of my dads truck when I started to bring it back for setting for 28 years for a sitting half finished resto job. I got a good deal on a Edelbrock carb with manual choke almost new, looks new nearly free. It works good now that it is cold I need to hook up a manual choke.
I bought the original style choke kit parts from LMC so I can install it in the dash where it says choke and has a plug in the dash. Is there a spot from the factory where the choke cable went through the firewall? Or am I going to have to drill a hole? I was hoping to locate a pre-drilled hole it seems like everything else that wasn't installed as an option was ready for it just needed to bolt it in. if anyone has pictures of a original choke cable set up please let me know!
Thanks

Re: where to run a manual choke cabel?

I found this
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ighlight=choke
so it looks like it runs through the grommet above the wire harness connection on the firewall. It is just a plastic plug do they make a grommet or just poke a hole? This sure doesn't seem like a very direct route for the cable? do I need other brackets? I will look at LMC see if I can find any thing.
