1963 At Atomic Motors Las Vegas.

Nice truck, horrible rims. No ac and the killer for me is someone sprayed the interior roof with trunk spackle paint. It has been reduced over 15k. A good start to a done truck.

Yeah nothing looks very good under the hood. Looks thrown together. For that much money you'd think The engine bay would be perfect. A Mr Gasket fuel pressure regulator thrown in there with rubber hose and goofy looking clamps? Spark plug wires and hoses like a spilled bowl of spaghetti all over the place... The battery hold down doesn't fit, the ring eyelet terminals off the battery aren't heat shrunk at the least, and yes those battery terminal clamps are hideous. I don't know, I get irratated when people cut corners. Especially when you pay to have something done. Seems like nobody cares anymore. In this case it doesn't look like it was to save money, it looks like the motor might have been the last thing on the flip and threw it together.

Hey, at least they provided 4 additional gauges! I think one is Testosterone Level.

Well if we're pointing out stuff - Brake lines are thrown together, dash knobs don't match, butchered dash radio opening, spliced all over under dash wiring and there is probably a reason they don't show underneath the truck.

Re: 1963 At Atomic Motors Las Vegas.

If it were an amateur DIY truck (like mine ) it probably wouldn't be too bad but for that price and sold through a dealer it sure does have it's flaws in the engine compartment. Not only are those wheels fugly but those battery cables are scary. If it were a private party and a fraction of the price it might be worth a second look. Sadly someone will drop the cash on it and continue to perpetuate these over-inflated dealer prices.

It's not like that. It's just t hat if your asking $50,000.00 for a truck like this it should be nice enough. Too many things wrong on it to ask that price. But then again as P. T. Barnum said "There's a sucker born every minute".

I see and asking price of 29500, but even at that price, i too would expect more. And yes, I'd ditch those god awful ugly wheels as soon as I could.

For the most part this is a consignment deal. This place dose complete restoration, repairs, sales and bikes. This threw me with a full show truck next to it for less.

Re: 1963 At Atomic Motors Las Vegas.

It's not so much that this is a tough crowd or that anyone is being hard on the seller, but rather it bothers many (me included) to see inflated prices when someone is selling a shiny rock as a diamond. Doesn't really matter how big a bow you put on it, it's still not a diamond.

My engine bay is nothing to brag about either, but I certainly wouldn't try to pass it off for that sale price. Then again I wouldn't be driving anything with that janky battery cable either.

BTW, the info says "Beautifully restored by a local Las Vegas shop". If that is the restoration work coming out of a local shop I'd want to know who they are and avoid them.

Re: 1963 At Atomic Motors Las Vegas.

This was advised for 45 but sold on ebay for 35.

The whole wrap v paint getsme. Sure it will last for 3-5 years but you just spent 1/2 a paint job on a wrap that doesn't last.

I laughed because my truck is not my best wire job but I planned on cab removal. I just cut a clean harness to look for faulty wire. And my power distribution block is still held in with wood screws from 1998. All I had and why mess with it.

Re: 1963 At Atomic Motors Las Vegas.

I am picky more now when looking. I know what I have built and busted my butt to get what I got, but even my Daily driver Diesel is cleaner than some vehicles at shows. I teased my mom after detailing her 1996 GMC stepside, it's classic and cleaner than most who show.
Cruise in is one thing but show... at least wipe it down.
