cool plan for my truck

dont know if i told anyone on here about this so here it goes.

after i get my bucket seats i'm gonna start working on a center console for the truck

but its no ordinary console, it'll have a computer in it! a full computer, no laptop or anything. 9" or 10" lcd monitor(touch screen would be nice, but way to much money), wireless keyboard, dvd-rom, etc...

i'll give it an 802.11b wireless network card so that i can pull up under the carport and transfer files/movies/music from my computer upstairs to the truck. that also means that when i drive by a house with a wireless network running, i can park there and use THEIR internet

anyways, it will be nice when its done. i would like to have it setup so i can connect something in the truck to it, to see performance figures and what not.

i already have a 400watt inverter i'll be using for it too.

That would be a no-priority on my list...but it isn'y my truck...good luck tho on the project!

Just think, your PC in your truck might be more powerful than the truck itself!

Damn Eric that sounds like a sweet setup you're thinking of. How big of a tower are you thinking of?

Hey Eric, would you build the concole to fit around your pc, or custom build the console to be the case?? That would be pretty cool to have it fiberglass finished to custom mold your drives and such.... hmmm

no tower.

i'll have custom brakets and trays to hold everything together. it will fit inside a console about the size of mike's. it will have a slot load dvd-drive like the cdplayers have also.

Cool idea. I wish I could do something like that but I have to keep my bench seat because of kids.
