installing factory style cigarette lighter

I am installing a new factory style cigarette lighter our truck never had one and I want it to charge cell phones maybe it wont work that way.
Anyway does anyone know where to wire it to? I am assuming one wire to ground and one to the un-fused plug on the fuse block? The lighter came with slide on connectors and I am just wondering if there is a factory spot I am missing they plugged into?
Thanks
Chad

On the fuse block you should have a terminal labeled "Cig" as shown in the picture.....

Re: installing factory style cigarette lighter

Can I ask where you got the lighter, and how is the quality of the unit?

Re: installing factory style cigarette lighter

I have a cig lighter from a truck being parted out on here. I want to install it so I can do the same thing as this thread author. However, my dad used the cigarette lighter delete to put in a manual choke.

I would like to find a manual throttle dash and reroute the choke cable to the throttle knob OR put it over on the left over the brake release.

Re: installing factory style cigarette lighter

ok I got it wired up single wire to fuse box and grounded by how it connects to the dash and it works. the lighter also has a blue wire that connects to a light inside the lighter. I need to find a location to hook the wire possibly factory location where it feeds off the power when you have the light switch pulled. Is there some extra plugs somewhere for that under the dash also?
Thanks

Re: installing factory style cigarette lighter

I believe your a/c/heater control ought to have a light you can piggyback off of

Re: installing factory style cigarette lighter

The ac heater control head does have 2 lamps so you could tie in to the LH side wire for your cig lamp.
