need another motor!

anybody in phx/ mesa / tempe got a 350 - 396 - 454 for sale? - I finally have to pull the motor in the 67 because it is smoking way to bad now. - I just got a new motor from ricks pickup parts for the nova I have, but now the truck got jealous and decided it was time to fall apart - she's a mean one. - BTW the motor I got from Ricks for 500 was excellent! - the nova flies now!

cranknut67,

Are you looking for something already rebuilt? I have a one sitting on the floor that I took out of my 70(the original engine). It ran when I took it out, but has high mileage. I am coming up this weekend, and then turning around and coming up the following Wednesday for a class up there, could bring it upo then.

more or less I am looking for a temp big block or small block to get the parts runner going until I complete the 473 that's going in it - the machine shop I use is a little slow but does awesome work ( kelley's machine shop in phx) I just dont have time to pull this motor apart - it's a newer style 90's motor with the serpentine setup and it has about 90,000 miles on it - and I've been beating the crap out of it for the last few years. so if I could find another deal like I got from Ricks pickup parts last week, I would be saved for a year or so until the big 'un is finished - can't wait - 71 vette LT block bored 60 and big open chamber oval port heads - can you say 600 HP!
