1950 chevy Hydraulic clutch

Hi basics of my truck first I am building a 1950 Chevy truck it is a 3/4 ton but being cut down to 1/2 ton. I'm putting a ls376 500HP with a t56 tremec 6 speed manual in it if I can figure out ways around my problems. This is a hotrod so the original clutch pedal is gone and instead it is just a single power brake pedal.

The tremec comes with a hydraulic clutch. But since my clutch pedal and linkage is gone how would I go about hooking up the clutch pedal and resivoir and what parts would I need like pedal resivoir and braided line or whatever else I would need.

I can't find where anyone has done this but I really need a little help on what I should do.

Thanks any help is appreciated.

This guy put a T56 in his TF truck:

He got it from American Power Train. I expect they helped him get set up with a pedal, master and slave as well.

That is where I bought the T56 and pedal set up for my '55 Bel Air too and would be my first call If I were doing what you are.

Re: 1950 chevy Hydraulic clutch

I bought a jeep brake and clutch pedal assembly for my 54. I have a toyota clutch master that I' m planning on using. Off hand, seems like everything is going to work well. Haven't mounted anything yet, have a million other things to do.

My plan is to use a setup from a Jeep TJ and straddle the steering column. I'll need to bend the pedal arms to fit but I think it will work. Planning to also use the Jeep brake and clutch masters.

Re: 1950 chevy Hydraulic clutch

For parts you'll need the clutch pedal assembly with master cylinder, AN fitting at clutch master cylinder, AN fitting at slave cylinder, AN hose to connect from master cylinder to slave cylinder.

Summit has an amazing query for their parts, you should be able to find all you need there.

I can't help on the clutch pedal assembly, just choose one that works. But, once you have your clutch pedal assembly I would pick AN fitting adapters for the clutch pedal master cylinder and slave cylinder then pick an AN hose of the appropriate length.

Check this out: Summit search for "Brake Hose", filter Brake Hose, Individual, Universal, Then you can filter your hose length then your ends.

https://www.summitracing.com/search/...d=brake%20hose

For your fittings search "AN Fitting" then you can drill down to AN to Brake, or AN to NPT, etc.

Their filter system is really awesome once you know what you're looking for.
