1954 3100 front fenders

Other than the holes to mount the grille, are these interchangeable with the 47 - 53?

thx

No.

54 fenders have a rounded opening for the grill

43-7/53 + 54 GMC had a more squared off opening this being a 54 GMC fender

I guess you could rework the opening to fit the earlier grill but that would take some fine tuned metal bending.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Mr48...correct me if I'm wrong but I think he's asking if other than the grill opening will a 54 fender fit a 47-53 cab.. also is that second pic a modified 54 fender?

Re: 1954 3100 front fenders

Actually, both questions. I see that the front of the fenders are different, but suspect the rears are the same where they mate to the cab.

BTW, I hope those pics were taken last winter. Too early for snow!

Re: 1954 3100 front fenders

They are the same at the back and if you want to put a 54 nose on a 52 truck it will bolt right on or if you want to put a 52 nose on a 54 truck it will bolt right on. The core supports are different on Chevy and GMC and won't swap.

The brown fender is a 54 GMC fender as I mentioned above. I had a usable photo of it but don't have a similar one of a Chevy fender. That indent for the 54 GMC park light had a galvanized panel pop riveted over it and lots of bondo over that when I got it with a batch of other AD sheetmetal.
