Factory Coil Spring question
Men,
Picked up a set of 3" drop coil springs and I am trying to compare their height versus a factory coil. Thinking about dropping my 98' WT shortie all of the way around (4.3L V6/ NV3500 combo). The coils I picked up are approximately 14" high. Weighing my options to use these or the 2" drop spindles. If used in conjunction, what would I be looking at drop wise (if there is such a difference between drop coils for V8 and V6 trucks)....

Re: Factory Coil Spring question
I'd say your be around 4-5" drop, that's what I did on my 87. In a unrelated note, how does your master cylinder for th he nv3500 mount to the firewall, if you don't mind me asking?

Re: Factory Coil Spring question
I didn't measure the springs prior to install, but 2" drop springs lowered my 97 Yukon roughly 4". Way more than I expected.
Removed leafs and used a 4 door lowering shackle on the rear, I'd like to drop the rear a little more. rear, 235/75/15, 15X8 5" BS front, 215/70/15, 15X7 4" BS

Re: Factory Coil Spring question
Many Thanks guys. I may try the springs 1st and see how it sets. I have 2" hangers and shackles for the back. Thinking about saving some money and doing a flip kit /c notch in the back. This is only my weekend / kick around vehicle. Needs to save some money to rebuild the 454 and drop it in my 73' shortie.....
S10fan...... Been a big fan of your work since I joined the forum. Nice to see some Va. Guys on here
