Back together

It's been a while since I been on here but been working hard. New motor and transmission. I'm still having a small problem with my starter, this motor seems to be eating them up. It's a 383 Stroker, 292/513 lift roller cam and rockers, bored .30, aluminum heads, two fours. It feels good to get it done. Next I'm doing a 5 lug conversion and chancing the rear end to a positive traction. Hot rodders work is never done! The last picture is a before I changed the motor, stock 307

Re: Back together

I'd try a mini starter, especially since it looks like you have headers. I've had great luck with power master starters

Re: Back together

I know for some it make them through up in their mouth a little, but adding a Ford solenoid will all but eliminate starter problems. I put one on my old Chevelle with a Really high compression big block.Companies like MAD also sell kits for this and I'm sure the big stores like Jeg's and Summit do under their brand as well. Real easy to wire and it stops the problems of the Chevy hard start issue. It is a lot less expensive than a mini starter but that will work too.
