Weekend update
I'm about to tear my dash apart, and redo the cluster. While I'm at it, I'm replacing my glovebox insert, putting on my new dash pad, installing my courtesy lights, and doing a general clean up of the stereo wiring.
Add this to the replacing of my vent window, and this Should keep me busy for a couple days.

How does the dash pad come off? PO had the dash pad AND the dash up to the window covered in black vinyl. Would be cool, but its peeling and I'd like to change my interior to saddle from Black.

Has speed nuts on back of dash pad. PITA to get off and a PITA to get new one on. Should be easy...but it isn't. Take your time and don't over-tighten when putting new one on or it will cause ripples in your new one!

When putting the new pad in, is it best to work from inside out or outside in, to make it stay even?

Changed out my vent window today. It was not as difficult as I thought it would be. The actual time to change them out ( removing the armrest, handles, and door panel) was about an hour, but I went ahead and cleaned/lubed/shined everything while I had it all apart.
The first pic is the original, with the broken pivot, and the second is the "new" one. Overall, I'm pretty pleased.
