truck is ready for the alignment shop
My 70 has been off the road for just about 2 years, Some of that time I was too busy to put time into it, and others I just couldn't get motivated to touch it.
Well, The 10 year old and I have been bustin butt, the last few weeks and It's ready for the alignment shop. We installed a disc conversion kit with 2" dropped spindles, and 2" dropped front springs, had to even it out with a "Flip Kit" and a C-section. We did that last summer about this time, Then we had to make the 400 mile move and had too much stuff to do around the house to get involved with the old truck, So we been trying to catch up. We installed the twin electric fans, and derale sensor switch, yesterday and today. we put on the billet wire looms, ( the ones with the "Heartbeat" and lines) new wires and a pertronix electronic ignition, We installed the Pete Jackson Gear drive, ( damned does it ever whine) and we went through a two barrel we had laying around just to get it to move on it's own. It set so long in the Nevada scorching sun, that the gas turned to varnish in the Carter. We have two 390 CFM holleys to sit on top of the OFFY, Tunnel Ram, That's sitting Under the bench, But that's in the next spring future. This week it will make it to the alignment shop, ( Today,we unloaded the 5 ton of hay that was in our way on the trailer) The Billet grille is supposed to be here day after tomorrow (fed-X couldn't find the house) and, I ordered Seat Belts from Rickstruckparts today, and Andy (longhorn man) is shipping out the edelbrock carb, I am buying from him. But I still have to figure and do a fuel filler for the blazer tank conversion. Once this stuff is done, We're going to start shaving the mirrors and door handles. As you can see, we've been catching up, but have lots more to do. Hope your projects are doing as well. Ron |

My new notebook has nothing but USB ports and My Polariod 640 digital has only the big plug in..
So in otherwards, I don't have a "working" digital camera. And putting the money into the 70, I can't afford to buy another digital that's USB compatible. Ron Quote:

Thanks Andy,
My truck is an amazing thing..... So much money I have put into it in the last 15 years, But I still can't see where the hell it is. But then again, There is nothing, That hasn't been replaced or upgraded, In 93 I did the first rebuild from the ground up, except body work, and paint. I turned the speedo back to zero, I looked at it today, It only says 13000 miles. But I still look at it and ask myself where is all of the money. and there is even times I ask myself when is enough Enough??!!( I guess when I'm happy :p ) Send me your dads Pay-pal E-mail addy, And I'll transfer the funds for the carb, Right away.. And Thanks, Again !! Ron |
