Radiator Support-Who makes the best one?
I need to buy a new radiator support for a 1968 Chevy truck. Who makes the best fitting, closest to the original out there? Thanks for any advice and help.

From what I understand, there is only one company making them. if that is correct, choose your favorite vendor and go from there. Someone please correct me if I am wrong!

There's a nice one on Craigslist in Vancouver, but it's for a GMC, you know...4 eyes. $150 Canadian. Shipping might be expensive though.

Re: Radiator Support-Who makes the best one?
Shipping......the days of cheaper shipping are over and have been since about 2008, when the recession really got moving. The recession isn't over, no matter what news media says what, and won't be until the economy begins to grow past this silly 1 percent we have been at for several years and good jobs are easy to get.
I'm no expert on these trucks but I think most people will still agree, original is always going to be better, not just for fitting purposes, but for bragging rights, which will come into play if the thing is ever sold. I'd check the parts' forum, put up a WTB ad, and get ready to go and pick one up, or have it shipped to you, OEM of course. Now people do think well of vendors such as GMC Paul's and Classic Heartbeat and both of those guys advertise aftermarket radiator core supports. OK, this noob will no longer comment on this thread. |
