Re: 1967 Chevy shortbed 4x4 find
Nice truck!
How is it that you know this truck is "matching numbers"? I'm relatively new with these trucks, but I always read that you can't tell what specific engine should be in them.

Re: 1967 Chevy shortbed 4x4 find
There is no such thing as numbers matching for these trucks. However you can have the correct year motor...

Re: 1967 Chevy shortbed 4x4 find
1,046. Pretty damn low production number. There was only 1,229 stepside shortbeds too.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=104816 Hopefully you have the glovebox or build sheet. Something this rare and people want authentication. I love it, great find!

Man, I don't know. Wrong year box no motor installed been repainted. I would say its a $500 truck.
Very nice find. Some of you guys find some very nice trucks. Wish I could find some good deals like that.

Re: 1967 Chevy shortbed 4x4 find
When looking into the information surrounding Production numbers for my 67 K10,
I came up with this: Production numbers for 1967-1972 Chevy Trucks, Blazers, Suburban, and Panels. The following is from the "Standard Catalog of American Light-Duty Trucks, 3rd edition". 1967 1/2-Ton Commercial 4x4 - Model K/Series 10 - 115-in. w.b MODEL BODY TYPE PRICE WEIGHT PROD.TOTAL KS10703 Chassis & Cab $2903 --- 32 KS10734 Fleetside 6.5ft $3051 --- 1046 KS10704 Step-Side 6.5ft $3013 --- 1229

Re: 1967 Chevy shortbed 4x4 find
No automatic 4wd trucks till '70
There are numbers to match on trucks, just no partial VIN on block. But, the suffix code will tell more than year. The engine in my '72 K2500 is numbers matching. It isn't original to that truck, though. It is from a '72 Chevy K/20, but matches my truck. What the suffix tells is '72, K/20, 350, 4bbl, automatic transmission, and all that matches. It is the correct engine for my truck and no one can tell it isn't the one it left the factory with
