88 chevy 1500 want to swap it to 66 chevy body

I have an 88 chevy 1500 and I want to swap the body to a 66 chevy which I also have, I just do not know where to start. First project.

Start with a. Tape measure, sawzall, and a welder.

Not a great first project. You would be better off swaping parts from the 88 to the 66 if it already has a frame.

You are right, unfortunately the 66 was crashed and the subframe is toast

Update on my last post, i took the advice that was posted to transfer the parts from the 88 chevy to the 66 subframe everything is going well, the one question that i have is will the spindles from the 88 chevy fit on the 66 A arms

if the 88 is a suburban or crewcab then you can swap things over. otherwise the cutoff is 87. it is more advisable to switch the complete frt crossmember.
if you look thru the FAQ section above there is quite a bit there. also tells which components which may work with others.
sometimes what you have because you have it is not the easiest answer nor the cheapest
