any 60s truck stepside guys running big tires with factory 12 bolt?

I have a 1966 c10 and Im going to tub the bed but keep the stock rear and suspension. I'm looking to run some 325/50/15 M/T drag radials out back with a 15x10 or 15x12 rim.

just seeing if anyone has done this setup? and what backspacing was used

yes sir I appreciate that info.

I believe im just going to run a 15x10

I looking hard at the rocket racing launcher (front) & strike (rear) and looks like the biggest is 15x10 with a 5" back spacing. so I might be narrowing my rear to run these unless they make a 6.5" backspacing which i doubt.

My plan is keep the stock size rear to run black steel wheels on wide whites for street use. but sometimes you can get everything you want.

I personally would rather a 325/50/15 be on a 12" wheel. It will put more of the contact patch down. Also a 315/60 being taller will provide more contact patch.

What tire and rear/ suspension are you running?

I ran 315/60/15 MT ET Street radials for years. Over the last year I have been playing on a set of the new MT ET Street R bias plys in a 32x17.50, these measure out to be the same as their 32x14.50 ET Drag and are on the same M5 compound. On a decent to good track, I would take the radial as it is faster, but for the marginal traction no prep deals I have been doing, the big tire is much better.

I used to run factory truck arms. Switched to a 4-link when we caged the truck 4 years ago.
