Hello im looking to put a 350 sbc with a t56 tranny in a 68 lb c10
What problems would i run into if i went with this setup? Im still new to this so dont be mean if the question sounds stupid. Thanks. Right now it has a 307 and powerglide in it. I just wanna know if the setup i want will work and if it does what parts should i look out for when buying the tranny Posted via Mobile Device |

Moved your post for you. I keep thinking about the same idea, but for my 64. It will be interesting to see the responses.

Re: Will this setup work
I think the T56 uses a hydraulic clutch system. That might take some figuring.

Re: Will this setup work
Personally, I'd be looking for a parts donor vehicle, one that was a manual trans, floor shift truck to begin with. That way, you might luck into a lot of the parts, and possibly be able to sell what you don't need to help pay for the project.
