1986 C70 with a 20ft flatbed, is there any clutch ajustment?

The clutch grabs at the very last moment before your foot comes off the pedal. It does not slip but I sure would prefer it engaging a little sooner.
Thanks

Let me know what motor and trans combo you have and if you don't have an answer by next weekend I'll get some screen shots of my 88 manual for you.
