69-70 Outer Grille
As everyone knows the polished aluminum repop grilles that are available for these years are IMO very light and easily scratched and dinged up. It seems like I read somewhere in a thread though, that someone was making these now out of steel. Is that true or am I mistaken? If not and they are all aluminum, does anyone know if there is a supplier that has a superior product? Or are they all made by the same manufacturer? Hoping to finish my build in the next couple of months and the grill is one of the few parts I lack. That and the fancy little door ferrules that Dan machined in his Hemis 70 Blazer Build. Still hoping he gets board one day and makes a bunch and offers them exclusively here on the forum.

Re: 69-70 Outer Grille
I have received a few PM's from this post but all of the PM's are basically asking the same question that I did and wondering if I have figured anything out. I really haven't. Still trying to find something better than some of the cheaply made ones that everyone talks poorly about. Has anyone found a better grill somewhere?

Re: 69-70 Outer Grille
This is a repop grille from Classic Parts of America.
It appears very nice. But I would want to see what I was buying before I purchased one. Member hot trux bought this one after driving to there store to look at it. Plus that saves any chance of shipping damage also. I'm not sure of the brand though.

Re: 69-70 Outer Grille
I think that there's probably only one place manufacturing these grilles in Taiwan or China and all branded differently. I agree they are crap and are made so thin that you could dent it with a fingernail. For now, it's all we have unfortunately.
