LS swap cross member question
I'm wanting to do a ls swap this winter. I'm pretty sure I have to take the mid mount cross member out. I currently have a small block 4 speed in it now. The bell housing is mounted to this cross member. Basically just wanting to know if that has to be removed. Thanks

Re: LS swap cross member question
Yes, it will need to be removed, and you'll need a regular transmission crossmember.

Re: LS swap cross member question
I was actually able to use mine. I have a 5.3/t5 combo and was able to use the stock bellhousing crossmember. BUT I went with speed engineering ls swap headers and that crossmember was in the way. I ended up cutting it out. If you were to use other headers/manifolds it could stay!
