1961 Chevy k10 body swap

I really enjoy reading and following along on the build threads so I decided to start a build thread for this project . I also started posting on the 60-66 k series Facebook page . I have a 1961 Chevy k10 short bed step side . The previous owner must have put a 63 front clip on . It was originally from the coast the rust in the cab is terrible . I recently purchased a 1961 c10 step side short bed with a very clean body and only moderate rust in the normal spots . My plan is to swap the good body onto the k10 frame. The frame does need quite of bit of work before I can put on the new body . Bed mounts have been cut and moved and the front shock mounts have been distroyed and poorly repaired . I bought the k10 for $900 in 2000

Welcome, and good looking truck!
But I may be biased cause I have had a 1963 short bed 4x4 for 35 years.
I like '61 as well so witch ever way you go is good.

Ya , i would have stayed with the 63 but the cancer is completely through the entire drip rail and into the inside of the cab

Started taking it apart . Frame needs a bit of work . Front shock brackets have been broken and repaired several times it looks like very poorly . The rear bumper is welded on and the bed mounts have been cut and changed over the years .
