Re: AWD c10

Needing a newer engine I found a 2011 GMC AWD Savana for sale and naturally thought why not use the entire running gear. Sounded real good at the time

Interesting project. Did you get any more assembly pictures?
I love the truck by the way.

Had to do some cab surgery for the transfer case to fit with how low I wanted the cab.

Re: AWD c10

The worst part of the build so far has been finding fittings for fuel/brakes/steering. I have researched on fuel fittings and tanks/pumps until my eye have bled. The engine fires right up, bleeding the hydro boost really did take 2 hours, have one more steering connection to make and shorten the rear driveline. It's been fun at times and exhausting the majority of the time but the end result, I feel, will be a blast to drive.

Re: AWD c10

Like all these projects they start out so innocent then before you know it you have a perfectly fine c10 and a full size van carcass trying to become one. It truly is a mental illness!

Attached a 2000 something Malibu electronic fan I grabbed at the junkyard. Only needed some minor cut off wheel attention.

Re: AWD c10

Picked up this old hood for a steal and have always loved the 1960 era Mopar hood scoops, so out came the cut off wheel. Not 100% sold on the outcome but it definitely gives the truck a meaner face. Yes the dents look just as big in person, I call it character.
